More Moonbites

My name is Rosemary Moon and A Feast of West Sussex is my latest book.

Sheila Dillon, BBC Radio 4’s The Food Programme:
Utterly relevant. Beautifully written and produced.”

Barbara Ruffles:
“I have now read A Feast of West Sussex from cover to cover and experienced a similar enjoyment to when reading Jane Grigson's Vegetable and Fruit books. “

Published at the beginning of March it is book number 19 but it’s the first new book from my kitchen in a decade. I have been busy writing about local food here in Chichester, on England’s south coast, on the internet and about food in general in supermarket magazines and local publications. This website, Moonbites, has kept me busy for 6 years. It’s great to have a new book out and I feel as excited about it as I did about my very first book, over 25 years ago!

When you eat with the seasons your food choices are always changing, bringing freshness to every dish that you prepare in your home. It’s exciting, a perpetual adventure and it’s deliciously rewarding.

Eat local, wherever you are!

Sweet, seductive beetroot

I have always loved the sweet, earthy flavours of beetroot - as a child I ate it with banana and custard!
There is a selection of my beetroot recipes (no, not with custard) in a free magazine at Waitrose.

A dram and a clam

We have had a marvellous holiday in Orkney - news about that soon and apologies for the lack of Moonbites gossip in our absence!
